This campsite situated in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Cannock Chase. A large variety of free roaming wildlife including: Red Deer, Fallow Deer, Muntjac, Tawny Owls, Barn Owls, Buzzards, Fox and Rabbits.

FAQs
When will the Tackeroo site reopen? Are you open for Christmas 2020?
Due to the ongoing designation of Staffordshire as a tier 3 region, we will be unable to reopen until early January 2021. As soon as we are allowed to we will safely reopen the site. In the mean time you are able to make bookings for dates in 2021, should the site have to close for a Covid related reason you will be offered the opportunity to transfer your booking to another date.
What precautions are you taking for Covid-19
We are adhering to the Visit England ‘Good to go’ guidelines for accomodation. In affect this will mean pitches being spaced atleast 6 metres (ideally 10 metres) apart. Extra cleaning of taps, extra hand sanitising stations and 2 metre markers for where queue need to form. All of our staff have been trained in current Covid-19 legislation and will make sure your safety always comes first. Do get in touch if you have any more specific questions and our Covid-19 safe plans.
What facilities are there on site?
This site is a bare basics site. We have elsan points, waste refuse points and water points. Campers will need to bring their own means of toileting and washing.
Can I bring my Dog?
Yes.
Can I have a pitch next door to my friends/family?
Yes, we cannot reserve pitches however if there’s pitches together, feel free to pitch up next to each other.
Do we allow caravans and motorhomes?
Yes, this site is ideal for touring vehicles.
What do you mean by a pitch?
A pitch refers to one tent, caravan, or motorhome which is being used for accomodation. We don’t charge extra for small gazebos, or toilet tents. When booking on you are able to select the unit type.

Wood and Charcoal fires are not permitted as there’s a chance they could set forest fires, gas BBQ’s however are allowed.
